After purchasing, relocating, or refurbishing an X-ray machine, a shielding design is required to be sent in and approved by the state. A shielding design is a report that calculates the level of radiation protection required based on the machine, procedure room and rooms adjacent of procedures.

Carolina Safety and Health Consultants, LLC is certified to complete shielding designs in the states of North Carolina, Maryland, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, and Utah.

Carolina Safety and Health Consultants, LLC performs Post Installation Radiation Surveys for the state of North Carolina. This is required within 30 days of installing your X-ray machine.
