Carolina Safety & Health Consultants, LLC was founded by physicist Benjamin G. Midyette, Jr., MS in 1994 with a vision to elevate workplace safety standards and provide expert guidance across multiple sectors. Established and staffed by a team of dedicated safety professionals, the company began as a response to the growing need for comprehensive consulting in radiation, environmental, industrial hygiene, and OSHA 1910 compliance. Over the years, Carolina Safety & Health Consultants has built a reputation for excellence, rooted in a commitment to protecting people and organizations through innovative solutions and practical strategies.
From its early days serving local businesses, the company has expanded its reach across various industries, helping clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and implement effective safety programs. Benjamin G. Midyette, Jr., MS, RSO, CHT
Senior Physicist, President/CEO
Benjamin G. Midyette is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carolina Safety & Health Consultants, LLC, bringing over 30 years of expertise in radiation safety, environmental health, public health, homeland security, occupational safety, and regulatory compliance. His career spans leadership roles in state government, industry and private consulting, with a focus on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear safety.
Benjamin began his professional journey at East Carolina University’s School of Medicine, later serving as a Health Physicist with the North Carolina Division of Radiation Protection. He advanced to key positions within the NC Department of Health & Human Services and the State Capitol Police, where he specialized in emergency preparedness and response, industrial hygiene, and physical infrastructure security.
In 1994, Benjamin founded Carolina Safety & Health Consultants, LLC, providing comprehensive consulting services in health physics, radiation protection, OSHA compliance, and environmental health and safety. He is a Registered Health Physicist Qualified Expert in multiple states and a Certified Radiation Safety Officer, offering regulatory compliance support, shielding design, radiation surveys, and expert witness services for healthcare, industrial, and governmental clients nationwide.
Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Radiation Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from East Carolina University. His extensive credentials include advanced certifications in radiation safety, emergency management, and law enforcement. Throughout his career, he has authored technical reports, developed regulatory frameworks, and delivered training programs for emergency responders and industry professionals.
Today, Benjamin leads Carolina Safety & Health Consultants with a commitment to excellence, helping organizations achieve the highest standards of safety, compliance, and risk management.

Jenna Wootton, BS
Director of Operations
Jenna Wootton is the Director of Operations at Carolina Safety & Health Consultants (CSHC), where she plays a central role in the coordination and execution of consulting services across the firm. She is closely involved in nearly every project, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and clear communication from initial engagement through project completion.
In her role, Jenna oversees operational workflows, project coordination, and client communication to support compliance with OSHA, NRC, and North Carolina Radiation Protection standards. Her work spans medical, veterinary, industrial, and research facilities, where she supports plan reviews, radiation safety programs, safety audits, and ongoing regulatory compliance initiatives.
Jenna is also responsible for leading many of CSHC’s internal operational functions, including process development, documentation systems, and the implementation of tools and resources that strengthen organizational consistency, quality control, and scalability. Her approach emphasizes structure, accountability, and practical solutions that support both clients and consultants.
Jenna began her professional journey as a graduate of East Carolina University and is preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in Medical Physics, with plans to begin in Fall 2026. She brings a detail-oriented, solutions-driven mindset to her work and is committed to upholding CSHC’s mission of delivering expert guidance that protects people, property, and reputation through strong safety culture and regulatory excellence.Jenna Wootton is the Director of Operations at Carolina Safety & Health Consultants (CSHC), where she plays a central role in the coordination and execution of consulting services across the firm. A graduate of East Carolina University, Jenna has been accepted into Brown University’s Master of Science program in Medical Physics and will begin her graduate studies in Fall 2026. Her academic background, combined with her hands-on experience in radiation safety and regulatory compliance, provides a strong foundation for her continued professional growth within the health physics and medical physics fields.

Robert Boram Jr. BBA, MSHSA
Client Services Manager & Strategic Partner
Robert Boram Jr. is the Client Services Manager and Strategic Partner at Carolina Safety & Health Consultants (CSHC), where he supports client engagement, consultant coordination, and operational initiatives that help ensure the successful delivery of services across the organization. He works closely with clients, strategic partners, and internal teams to promote clear communication, regulatory compliance, and efficient project execution.
Bringing more than 30 years of professional experience, Robert offers a unique blend of scientific, operational, quality, compliance, and project management expertise. His diverse background allows him to bridge the gap between technical requirements, organizational objectives, and client needs, helping organizations navigate complex compliance and operational challenges.
Robert began his career as a Bench Scientist and Safety Officer, followed by experience in Research & Development, where he developed a strong technical foundation and appreciation for quality-driven processes. He later spent more than 20 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, specializing in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance, supporting regulated environments and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
In addition to his quality and compliance leadership experience, Robert has spent more than five years managing projects within Contract Research Organizations (CROs), Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs), and Information Technology (IT) environments. His project management experience has strengthened his ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, streamline operations, and deliver results in highly regulated settings.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration. He has also completed professional training and certifications in RCRA, Hazardous Waste Management, and DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation Compliance, further expanding his expertise in environmental health and safety and regulatory compliance.
Currently pursuing his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Robert is committed to continuous professional development and operational excellence. His client-focused approach, collaborative leadership style, and extensive regulatory experience make him a valuable resource for both clients and consulting teams.

Brian Vincent, BBA
Business Operations Coordinator
Brian Vincent is the Business Operations Coordinator at Carolina Safety & Health Consultants (CSHC), where he supports day-to-day business operations and helps facilitate efficient internal processes and client-facing activities across the organization. He works closely with team members to support coordination, communication, and administrative functions that contribute to the successful delivery of consulting services.
Since joining CSHC as an intern, Brian has continued to expand his responsibilities and involvement throughout the organization. His role includes supporting business operations, assisting with client services and internal coordination, maintaining business records and documentation, and contributing to projects that help strengthen organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Brian supports a variety of administrative and operational initiatives, helping ensure that internal workflows remain organized, consistent, and responsive to the needs of both clients and consultants. He also assists with process improvement efforts and the development of systems that promote collaboration, accountability, and scalability across the firm.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Brian is currently completing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. His academic background combines business management principles with data-driven decision-making, analytics, and process optimization.
Brian brings a strong interest in business operations, analytics, process improvement, and organizational development. He is committed to continuous learning and professional growth while supporting CSHC’s mission of delivering expert guidance that protects people, property, and reputation through strong operational support and exceptional client service.
