POSITION OVERVIEW
This fully remote role offers an excellent opportunity to develop administrative and organizational skills in a professional consulting environment. The position supports daily business operations through a variety of clerical, communication, and administrative tasks. It provides hands-on experience in areas such as scheduling, document management, client correspondence, data entry, and general office support. Interns gain practical experience in real-world consulting operations while building valuable, transferable professional skills in a flexible remote setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with filing, document formatting, and data entry
• Organize and track project files and deadlines
• Support email communication and scheduling
• Help maintain internal databases and shared files
• Assist with light marketing tasks, including social media posting and formatting newsletters
• Coordinate project updates and task assignments across the team
• Perform other general office and administrative duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (any major welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Reliable and committed to working 10–15 hours per week
• Must be available between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at least 5 hours per week
• Must be a North Carolina resident or have a North Carolina address

MEET OUR INTERNS
CURRENT INTERN:
Brian Vincent
University of North Carolina Wilmington
Brian Vincent is currently serving as an Assistant Coordinator with Carolina Safety and Health Consultants. In this role, he is responsible for streamlining internal operations by organizing digital file systems, managing email communications, and leading the redesign of the company’s website to improve usability and client engagement.
PREVIOUS INTERN:
Sophie Spohn
East Carolina University
She is currently pursuing a degree in biology at East Carolina University, with strong interests in radiation biology and oncology. Sophie plans to either earn a PhD to conduct medical research or attend medical school to become a physician. Her internship experience with Carolina Safety and Health Consultants strengthened her interest in radiation safety in healthcare and provided valuable hands-on exposure to the field.
